The Dining Room Menu
Welcome to dining at The Southern Cross. We go out of our way to use the freshest local, organic and free range produce wherever possible. This of course means supporting NZ goodness and ultimately results in primo flavors in every dish! At ours you have it how you like it - simple, fancy or both. Enjoy.

This menu is served after 5pm in conjunction with our Stonegrill menu and of course with desserts.
Starters

- Summer salad of baby cos leaves and sprouting beans with curried cashews, gingered paw paw and bruised basil dressing $14 (Vegan)
- Spaghetti tossed with spring vegetables, sweet basil, lemon, garlic, and NZ olive oil $15 (Vegan - Gluten free option available)
- Chargrilled eggplant, roast garlic and red pepper roll ups with white beans in vinaigrette $15 (Vegan, Gluten free)
- Warm white nut and herb loaf with stewed tomato relish, vegan cheese and sauteed spinach $15 (Vegan)
- Smoked corn fed free range chicken, avocado and pickled cucumber salad with yoghurt dressing $15.5 (Gluten free)

- Sticky banana, butterscotch and passionfruit pudding with homemade hokey pokey ice cream $9.5
- Vanilla cream tart with sugared seasonal berries and dark chocolate shavings $10.5
- Hot chocolate fondue (72% cocoa) with fresh fruit. Priced for two $13
- Vintage cheddar cheese with Southern Cross pickled onions and cream crackers (swap for rice crackers as a gluten free option) $8
Bring in the kids (ages 0-15) between 5 and 7pm to have dinner in the restaurant area and we'll set you guys up with some choice games and coloring activities to keep the crew entertained and (hopefully) at the table!
