Here at The Southern Cross functions are our thing. We have four unique spaces that we hire out for all sorts of parties and occasions, and we also have some top-notch kai to boot. We’ll work closely with you during the planning stages and will have friendly dedicated staff on-hand for you on the big day to ensure we can take as much of the stress out of the organising as possible.
No two functions are alike, so we emphasize tailoring to your specific needs, ensuring a stress-free experience for you and your guests. We’re happy to personalise food for you, let you decorate and will do our best to accommodate any quirky requests you may have! Just let us know what you’re after.
At times the function spaces have a venue hire fee, minimum spend or minimum pre-order requirement. This is dependant on the space, date, time and type of function or party you're hosting. This information will be provided upon enquiry.

The Guest Room
The Guest Room is available for private functions for groups of 50-80 people, or up to 40 guests seated for dining. The space features comfy retro furnishing, cosy booth seating and your very own bar.
The Guest Room is decked out with a 54” plasma screen, cordless microphone on hand and your own soundsystem – just bring along a laptop or iPod. Easy as pie! The space also flows perfectly into our beautiful garden. For functions over 100 people, you can add on The Porch space too, as these areas are connected with an internal staircase.
As well as being a fantastic space for evening shindigs, The Guest Room is also great during the day for business/corporate events. We can swap the furniture for a boardroom/theatre style set up if you require it. We have a whiteboard on hand, and homemade catering available.
Welcome to The Porch! This unique space is located in the top left-hand corner of our garden. Great for groups of up to 40 guests casually. This covered outdoor area is the perfect spot to catch some sun, though if the weather isn’t being kind you have a fireplace, overhead heading, blankets and hot water bottles to keep you and your guests toasty. Sorted!
Welcome to The Lounge – a cosy space to relax with your guests. The Lounge is located first on your right as you come in and suits groups of up to 40 people. This space is decked out with a fireplace, comfy couches and coffee tables – the perfect spot for catching up over some nibbles and a drink. Lovely!
Welcome to The Gallery. This semi-private space is ideal for groups of up to 20 to dine, or up to 40 casually. The Gallery is a versatile space, with zinc-top tables stretching down the middle, plus space to mingle too. If you’re looking for something a little more private we can put wooden screens across the entrance for you. The Gallery also hosts our “featured artist” – this area doubles as a space for local artists to display and sell their work. We sort them out with a monthly residency and don’t take commission. Ain’t that sweet!
